• Is 43:1-2 God says that despite the people's spiritual failure, he will show them mercy, bring them back from captivity, and restore them. He would give them an outpouring of love, not wrath. Then the world would know that God alone had done this. Going through rivers of difficulty will either cause you to drown or force you to grow stronger. If you go in your own strength, you are more likely to drown. If you invite the Lord to go with you, He will protect you. What are you going through today? Invite the Lord!

• Is. 43:3-4 God gave Egypt, Ethiopia, and Seba as a ransom for Israel, His people were delivered from destruction and these other countries were destroyed instead. The idea is that either Israel or these countries would perish; so God chose to save Israel and destroy the others—they took Israel’s place for a ransom. God is set to give men for your life, He wants you and I to love and walk more closely with Him.

• Isa. 43:5-6 God’s people are to fear Him—that is, hold Him in awe, reverence and godly fear. Being sure of His presence, they need not be afraid of anything or anyone else. Israel’s descendants are called by the Lord 'My sons and My daughters'. These have been gathered and are still being gathered from the ends of the earth. This refers to all God's children, who are saved today, not minding race or colour. Glory be to God!!

For God shall give his angels charge over me, to keep me in all my ways.
They shall bear me up in their hands, lest I dash my foot against a stone.
I shall tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt I trample under feet.
Because I have set my love upon God, therefore will He deliver me: He will set me on high, because I have known His name.
I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me: He will be with me in trouble; He will deliver me, and honour me.

With long life will God satisfy me, and shew me His salvation.
So shall it be for me and my household today and forever, Amen and Amen!
