David Bednar Falsely Teaches Revelation Comes From How We Feel and Not the Light of Understanding

Elder Bednar falsely teaches revelation from the Holy Ghost comes from the how we feel or what our emotions tell us and not the light of understanding. In reality, the Holy Ghost gives us intelligence and information, which can sometimes be accompanied by good feelings. Joseph Smith was recorded on 27 June 1839 to have taught: "The Holy Ghost has no other effect than pure intelligence. It is more powerful in expanding the mind, enlightening the understanding and storing the intellect with present knowledge...".

The sister in this video says she was struggling and confuses a burning in her chest and how she feels with the Holy Ghost talking to her. David Bednar asks the sister, "How do you know its real?" and she anwers, "Its based off of how I feel." Then he quotes Alma 32:35, "is not this real?" and answers, "you bet it is." But later in this verse, Alma asks, "after ye have tasted this light is your knowledge perfect?" The “light” that Alma is talking about here is intelligence and knowledge.
