Wikipedia writes about the 2020–2021 Indian farmers' protest:

"The 2020–2021 Indian farmers' protest was a protest against three farm acts that were passed by the Parliament of India in September 2020. The acts, often called the Farm Bills, have been described as "anti-farmer laws" by many farmer unions, and politicians from the opposition who say it would leave farmers at the "mercy of corporates". ...

"Soon after the acts were introduced, unions began holding local protests, mostly in Punjab. After two months of protests, farmer unions—mainly from Punjab and Haryana—began a movement named Dili Chalo (transl. Let's go to Delhi), in which tens of thousands of farming union members marched towards the nation's capital. The Indian government ordered the police and law enforcement of various states to attack the protesters using water cannons, batons, and tear gas to prevent the farmer unions from entering into Haryana first and then Delhi."

Trudeau was quick to support the protesters. He said on Dec 1, 2020:

"Let me remind you: Canada will ALWAYS be there to defend the right of peaceful protest. We believe in the importance of dialogue. ... It is really worth while to think about the words of Guru Nanak Harjeet whose teachings on equality, compassion and selfless service is truly at the heart, not just of Sikhism, but of Canadian values as well."

Trudeau was quick to condemn the Indian government for their violence against peaceful protesters, but the hypocrite proceeds to do exactly the same himself not even 15 months later. He proclaims to "believe[s] in the importance of dialogue", but despite continuous requests from the protesters for a conversation, Trudeau has kept refusing to talk to the them.
