Belarusian Summer

The date of the emergence of Belarusian statehood is considered to be January 1, 1919, when the Manifesto of the Provisional Workers 'and Peasants' Government of Belarus proclaimed the Belarusian Socialist Soviet Republic as part of the RSFSR. The proclamation of the Belarusian People's Republic by the Executive Committee of the Rada of the All-Belarusian Congress, which preceded it on March 9, 1918, did not lead to the creation of fully functioning authorities due to the German occupation of the territory of Belarus.

On January 31, 1919, the BSSR seceded from the RSFSR and was declared independent by the decree of the Presidium of the Central Executive Committee "On recognition of the independence of the Belarusian Socialist Soviet Republic" (published on February 5). On February 27, 1919, the eastern regions of Soviet Belarus were transferred to the RSFSR, and the western regions were merged with the Lithuanian Soviet Republic into the Lithuanian-Belarusian SSR, which de facto ceased to exist a few months later during the Soviet-Polish war. On July 31, 1920, Belarus was restored by the adoption of the"Declaration of Independence of the Soviet Socialist Republic of Belarus". On December 30, 1922, the Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic became one of the four Soviet republics that signed the Treaty on the Formation of the USSR.

On October 24, 1945, the Belarusian SSR, along with the Ukrainian SSR, became founding members of the UN[18], due to their contribution to the defeat of Nazism, material and human losses during the Nazi occupation.

on july 27, 1990, the declaration on state sovereignty of the belarusian ssr was adopted, on august 25, 1991, it was given the status of a constitutional law, and on september 19, the country acquired its current name, at the same time, a new coat of arms and flag, as well as a new constitution and a civil passport were adopted. on december 8, 1991, belarus, together with the rsfsr and ukraine, signed an agreement on the creation of the cng.

on june 7, 1995, following a referendum, the country acquired a modern coat of arms and flagreferences «#state symbols". it is a founding member of the un, the cis, the csto, the union state, the eurasec (now abolished) and its successor, the eeu.
