Samgyetang (蔘鷄湯, cultural language: ginseng chicken soup [1]) is a Korean dish made with a whole chicken and orphaned with ingredients such as ginseng, jujube, ginger, and garlic. In Korea, it is mainly eaten on Sambok (chobok, double, malbok) day. Samgyetang is a representative health food in summer. On the other hand, samgyetang is also called gyesamtang. Also, a chicken that is slightly larger than a chick is called Younggye Baeksuk, and a chicken that is cut in half instead of a single chicken is called Bangyetang. It is very similar to Baeksuk.
