Rediscovered reel of Super8 film footage shot by Eduard Billy Meier in Switzerland in 1975

The reel was rediscovered in a small storage room in Hinterschmidrüti. The quality of this COPY (probably a first generation copy) is fairly good considering that it is about 45 years old and was not kept under good conditions.

ALL of the ORIGINAL Super 8 footage was stolen from Eduard Meier and sold behind his back!

The cuts in the copy have been left as they were found. The film was scanned professionally in 2.8K resolution in the ProRes 4444 XQ codec at 25 FPS (frames per second).

The following steps were taken during post-production:
1. The speed was changed from 25 FPS to the original shooting speed of 18 FPS.
2. It was zoomed in slightly until the sprocket holes on the left hand side disappear.
3. The colors were graded.

Besides that the footage was not changed or altered in any way.
