However, in talking with business owners from these communities, one quickly gets the impression that the trucker blockade, while disruptive, did not begin the downward trend for these businesses. No, that downward trend began with the implementation of the numerous COVID restrictions in March of 2020, most of which, we now know from the scientific and statistical research which is coming out, were completely useless in halting the spread of the virus.
