Ruger M77 Mark II Enhancements

I take on my brother-in-law's hunting rifle as a project. This rifle is a Ruger M77 Mk II chambered in .30-06 Springfield. It has been his go-to hunting rifle for some time but on a recent range day, we were having some trouble getting impacts much over 200 yards.

During the range day, there was an incident that involved my rifle tipping over on the hood of his vehicle, causing some minor dents. He was already planning on selling that vehicle so as a favor I offered to work on something that he planned to keep.

These enhancements are all things that a semi-skilled person could perform in their own garage or shop with basic tools.
