Marvelous Ohrid city and lake

Lake Ohrid is situated in the southern part of the Republic of North Macedonia and it is the seventh deepest and oldest lake in Europe.
Lake Ohrid provides a refuge for numerous endemic species of freshwater fauna and flora dating from the Tertiary period. It is part of the UNESCO list for its history dating back to pre-glacial time and contains over 200 endemic species.
