The Bengal tiger lives in North and Central India, Nepal and Burma. This is a large predator, whose height at the withers can reach 115 cm, body length (with tail) - 330 cm, and weight up to 320 kg.

The roar of the Bengal tiger can be heard at a distance of up to 3 km. In Bengal tigers of the usual red color, cubs are sometimes born with white hair, on which, however, dark stripes remain. In nature, they survive extremely rarely - such animals cannot hunt successfully, as they are too noticeable. In China and in the Middle Ages, it was believed that the white tiger is an animal that can protect people from various evil spirits, and in India they firmly believed that if a person sees, at least briefly, a white tiger, he will be granted enlightenment and complete happiness.

All white tigers kept in captivity today descend from one common ancestor - a tiger named Mohan, who lived in the middle of the last century in the palace of an Indian Maharaja.
