Amazing Elephants

Elephants are mammals, they give birth and feed their young. They breathe through lungs. There are two species of elephant: African and Asian. The African elephant is the largest living land mammal. Elephants have hair all over their bodies and have eyelashes. They also have big ears and long trunk serves as a nose ,a hand, ,and a tool for gathering food, drinking water, digging and much more. Elephants have tusks. Tusks are actually enlarged incisor teeth which first appear when elephants are around 2 years old. These magnificent mammals spend between 12 to 18 hours eating grass, plants and fruit every single day! Elephants sleep standing up.
