This video was shared with Ladies for Liberty by a concerned parent at Jenks High School in Jenks, Ok.

The origins of Black History Month.

Black History Week  was developed, to not only celebrate the accomplishments and contributions Black people made to this nation, but to also encourage better relations between Black and White people. It was developed by Carter G. Woodson, the son of formerly enslaved people and the second African American to receive a doctorate from Harvard.

Over time it changed and became Black History Month.   In our opinion, the snippet you are watching is not a representation of what Woodson intended.   It just further divides our children, our national treasure.

 You be the Judge.

These are the words of a concerned parent of a student attending Jenks High School.

This is a one-minute snippet from a video the chemistry kids at Jenks HS watched last week over 3 days. This is a movie about a black chemist for Black History month. I believe the justification for what this clip shows is the fact that he has white friends now, so it's ok. It is not ok. In my opinion, this is dangerous to be showing to these kids. It does nothing more than create division.
