Hi, Dr. Karin,

I love your podcast and IG content.

I was watching the 2 IGTV episodes where questions on religious and financial differences came up.

You mentioned that these are core values and major differences in core values will cause issues in relationships.

You also mentioned the differences require a healthy compromise—not one person bending to the other, which only leads to resentment.

I find myself often thinking I would be fine compromising, but that’s usually short-lived. It’s fine for now, but never fine forever.

I have two questions for you, please.

1️⃣What areas would be considered core values?
2️⃣Are there any tips we can use to check in with ourselves to see if we are truly OK with compromise or if it’s not going to be OK long term—before we let it fester into resentment?
