Germany initiated the Second World War by invading Poland and afterwards attacking over a dozen nations across the continent. By 1943, however, the tide of war had shifted: the Soviet Union had pushed back at Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Stalingrad. While the British had repulsed German air strikes and driven the Axis powers from Africa.
As a result, the leaders of the main allied nations met to examine the situation of the world after WWII. The Soviet Union's Stalin, the United States' Roosevelt, and the United Kingdom's Churchill discussed the formation of the United Nations, the D-Day invasion, and the division of Germany into four occupation zones. The night raids, the forced deportations, the genocide in enormous numbers. There was just one question on everyone's mind: how can you punish such heinous acts?
