Paracord Cross Using Vertical Crown Knot or Double Crown Sinnet

Tutorial for making a paracord cross using a Vertical Crown Knot. This is the first I know of this knot being taught on the internet. I learned this knot from a Boatswain's Mate, who was the barracks manager, In 1974. I was assigned to clean the barracks for six months as a young E3 in the US Navy . Since this makes two back-to-back crown knots with a side weave it could be called a Double Crown Sinnet.

===================

I should have realized my audience might use metric measurements. Please forgive me.

To make the cross without the necklace loop, to carry in your pocket or put on a keychain, use four 18 in, or 46 cm, cords.

To add the necklace loop add 32 in , or 82 cm, to one of the 18 in (46 cm) cords for a total length of 50 in (128 cm). Fold it in half and clamp at 9 in (23 cm) from the ends.

Note: I rounded up on the in-to-cm conversion. This is why there is an extra cm on the 50 in conversion.

I hope this helps.
