Michael Robertson was arrested and charged with two counts of murder in the disappearance of Akia Eggleston, his pregnant girlfriend who went missing in 2017.

Robertson and Eggleston had plans to move in together. On May 2nd, 2017, Robertson sent Eggleston fake photos of an apartment interior, and Eggleston purchased two money orders totaling $450 after making several ATM withdrawals to pay the “property manager” in cash.

Eggleston then ordered a Lyft for Robertson to come to her home. At 7 pm that evening, Eggleston’s phone activity ended.

A few days later, on the day of Eggleston’s planned baby shower, family members found her apartment empty and never heard from her again.

Nearly 5 years later, Robertson has been arrested and justice may finally be served.
