SHOULD WE BE CONCERNED ABOUT RAT's?

With reference to – COVID19 Apps and Track and Tracing should we be concerned about whether our private information is safe and also ask whether it is available to third parties without our knowledge. Now the when you receive a result from a Rapid Antigen Test it is sent back to you by text. How much of your information is shared and kept confidential, this is a valid question.

There have been a number of reported privacy breaches over the past few years and more recently on the 21st December 2021 on Waikato DHB were victims of a cyber attack, unknown criminals obtained a stolen data base. Patients personal files.

Another concern is all this testing more about political enforcement to control, restrict citizens of New Zealand, I personally believe so.
Surely one must question are these demands for citizens to be tested for COVID19, which has now become a universal testing just political motivated attacks on citizens worldwide, and not based on scientific reality???

Are these RATs accurate, fit for purpose.. this is seriously questionable
Again we should ask “Are these Rapid Antigen Tests fit for purpose”. Is this more about speed and less about accuracy.?
Studies have clearly demonstrated. In areas with low prevalence of the virus, positive test readings are likely to be wrong, resulting in unnecessary and costly consequences to individuals and the community.
The Antigen Rapid Test may not be accurate and also may be seen as being invalid, in which case another Rapid Antigen Test is required if this turns out to be inconclusive you will then need a full PCR Test. Juliet Elvy of NZ Microbiology Network stated “there is a potential for two out of every 100 test may yield positive results unexpectedly, which are likely to be false positives.

More than 500 antigen tests are available in Europe alone, the authors said, "the performance of most antigen tests under real-life conditions remains unknown." But the new findings "cast doubt on the effectiveness" of rapid antigen tests for widespread testing in schools
Deputy Chair of the NZ Microbiology Network Juliet Elvy reported that “Rapid Antigen tests can be useful to screen for infection in asymptomatic individuals, but the lower sensitivity does mean those with low viral loads or in the pre-symptomatic phase may be missed
A negative rapid antigen test result will appear as a text on your phone. Gaudin said that should be the proof for officials to confirm your test result for when you need to travel domestically.

There are no authorized COVID-19 tests that specifically report the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 omicron, delta, or other variants, in patient samples.
