Disruptive Ottawa protest test security limits of Canada's capital

After two weeks of the protest convoy occupying Ottawa, questions are rising over whether a better security response could have averted all the disruption sooner.

Always a potential target, security is constantly evolving with Canada's centre of government. In 1989, a hijacked bus was driven onto Parliament Hill, and a few years later, a man ran his jeep up the steps of Centre Block. The 9/11 terror attacks had also prompted still tighter security.

Eventually, Parliament Hill was made off limits to all but official vehicles. Eric Sorensen looks at the evolution and complications of securing the capital, and how authorities can prevent the convoy crisis from happening again.
