Maine SXS Trip, Fall 2021 Day #2. Lakeville, Fletcher Peak, Down East Land Trust, Trail toward DEST

On Day 2, we again began our trip riding out of the Wild Fox Cabins on Junior Lake, Lakeville. We traveled to get gas in Lee first. From Lee we rode east to Fletcher Peak Scenic Overlook. From Fletcher we rode south through the Down East land Trust and continued to the Down East Sunrise Trail. We ate in Machias, refueled and then headed back through Wesley toward Camp in Junior Lake.

This Loop on Day #2 was 206 miles.

This area has alot to explore. Get off the main trails, talk to the locals, find the good lookouts and things to see. It does not disappoint. Make sure to get maps well ahead of your trip as well as upload them on to a tablet or your Ride Command. We recommend having spare fuel as well as a spare tire in your group. If you are not used to being pretty off grid always plan for the worst case. It's very deceiving how far it really is between fuel and towns.
