The second, illegal search by local police video, I've seen, (must be more not captured on video or I haven't seen) in the past couple of years. Note the reaction when a female officer points out the camera. Property was damaged, no explanation or calling card was left behind. Resident had to view camera footage to learn how the damage occurred.
In the interest of drug busts, civil rights and the rule of law won't be allowed to impede progress. Community police, self-hoisted above the community they now look down upon, committing a criminal act. Protect and serve became dominate and subjugate, especially for addicts. Often, drug convictions, (stemming from illegal conduct by police, or offenses police planned, orchestrated and facilitated, aided by Confidential Informants), is the extent of their target's criminal history.
Police agencies allowed to violate the rights of some citizen, will have little compunction with violating the rights of all citizens.
