Pain Scale Meme - Texas

Hey there! I decided to contribute to this meme. I love some maps and Texas history, so I made each map based on real historical proposed and official borders.

No Pain: The contested claimed land during the Republic of Texas and state of Texas (1836-1850).

Mild: Texas with the claimed land that eventually became Greer County in 1860, which was eventually lost to Indian Territory in 1896.

Moderate: Modern Texas.

Severe: One of the many ways politicians sought to break Texas up during the Compromise of 1850. This one specifically by Senator Henry Clay.

Very Severe: Roughly the map of the northern half of Coahuila y Tejas under Mexico's rule (1823-1836). It was also the borders under Spanish rule (1810-1821) and the 1st Republic of Texas (1812-1813).

Worst Pain Possible: The map of the Anglo colonies Mexico allowed in.
