The Mayor has decided to take over the weekend duties around here since we now have a backlog of unpresented Segue City Specials and since he comes in late at night to work on his own segues, we just leave him alone and let him have at it. Here's another one of his confections where he mixes the Climax Blues Band with Boz Scaggs. We tend to be more up-tempo during the week so the weekend is becoming the "mellow time" with him and his machinations in the studio. Since he is Mayor For Life, we have to play along with him...

Segue City will be a recurring short-form programming element of "The Big Kahuna" - one of GET's developmental Internet Radio formats created by Dain Schult. It will also be expanded as a part of that format and finally evolve into a full, long-form programming element on its own. It’s all a part of GET’s radio division – American Internet & Radio (“AIR”).

The feature will be available for integration into other AIR Classic Rock terrestrial stations in the future as well. It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
