Wheel of Time Episode 1 Review Reaction - A Beautiful Destruction of the Books & Lore Season 1

The Wheel of Time Amazon Prime Video series would have been what I always wanted. Up until I heard the director talk about it's plot, aims and messaging. This WoT series was never going to be a faithful reproduction of the books. It's a modernised version of it intent on destruction of the original messaging. It's everything the Wheel of Time was never meant to be.

Rand, Perrin & Matt are all destroyed or weakened in the book just so Egwene and Nynaeve can be the leads. Side characters are pushed to the forefront and entire story arcs destroyed in 1 episode, simply so we can have imaginary romance or humiliate a man for no reason. Even from the very first opening line by Moiraine the show bragged about what it wanted to be, and it's everything it never was.
