Affirmation of the Blue Life

Today we bucked the urge to go with some up-tempo screaming start to the work week with some George Benson from his breakout album "Breezin''" and then mix in a Tower of Power alumnus, Greg Adams, and one of his jazzier selections of "Life in the Key of Blue" and just like that we had a Segue City Special and here it is for you. We'll get crazier as the week goes on because we have a holiday coming up this week and we're thankful we'll be able to get everything wrapped up by Wednesday and enjoy some time with our loved ones. The Mayor still plans to do some segues for the upcoming weekend but that's on him. If we can afford the gas we can still make it to Grandmother's house... enjoy...

Segue City will be a recurring short-form programming element of "The Big Kahuna" - one of GET's developmental Internet Radio formats created by Dain Schult. It will also be expanded as a part of that format and finally evolve into a full, long-form programming element on its own. It’s all a part of GET’s radio division – American Internet & Radio (“AIR”).

The feature will be available for integration into other AIR Classic Rock terrestrial stations in the future as well. It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
