Why was Battlefield 2042 Released in a Terrible State

Battlefield 2042 launched in a terrible state. With two updates fixing some of the issues so far and another planned in the future. One has to ask, why was this game released like this? This an AAA game from EA/Dice and that should mean something for the Battlefield franchise. But it doesn't for this game.
