Today we're off to Texas with the Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys into native son, Lyle Lovett, and his reasons for why you're not from Texas. If you didn't know, the unofficial slogan for the state is "Too much is never enough"... that or "It ain't braggin' if you can do it"... well, we did, been there, got the t-shirt, the whole nine yards. Today is Friday so our contract explicitly says we're finished until Monday so the Mayor will be holding down the fort over the weekend except for the time while the SEC Championship is on TV in which case he'll be glued to the game...HDDD!

Segue City will be a recurring short-form programming element of "The Big Kahuna" - one of GET's developmental Internet Radio formats created by Dain Schult. It will also be expanded as a part of that format and finally evolve into a full, long-form programming element on its own. It’s all a part of GET’s radio division – American Internet & Radio (“AIR”).

The feature will be available for integration into other AIR Classic Rock terrestrial stations in the future as well. It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
