We're All Alone and Amazed

Well the Mayor still seems to be on this weekend jag of lovey dovey music segues but his contention is that we need to be more mellow on the weekends since everybody seems so hyper because of all the upcoming college conference football games. In any event, he mixes Boz Scaggs with Lonestar today and it works, proving he still knows how to insert the square peg in a round hole and somehow make it work.

He keeps saying these segues just come to him and he puts them together. We think it's because he eats too many spicy foods... who knows? The Shadow does but he's on his break right now and we can't find him...

Segue City will be a recurring short-form programming element of "The Big Kahuna" - one of GET's developmental Internet Radio formats created by Dain Schult. It will also be expanded as a part of that format and finally evolve into a full, long-form programming element on its own. It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
