A lady claims that Snoop Dogg assaulted her in 2013 and is suing him.
According to court records acquired by PEOPLE, the lady who filed the complaint is Jane Doe, and she is also suing Snoop's longtime pal and hip hop celebrity Bishop Don Juan (born Donald Campbell).

According to the complaint, Snoop's "Doe "found herself concerned about her job security if she disappointed [Snoop]," according to the report. [She] felt under pressure... because of his domination and authority over her, including his capacity to employ and dismiss her and assure that she would never work in his business again."

Doe is accusing Snoop of violating the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, as well as s*xual violence and assault. In court filings, she requested a jury trial.

The claims surface only days before the rapper's Super Bowl performance on Sunday. When reached for comment by PEOPLE, the NFL did not answer right away.

What's your opinion on this? Is this a cash grab? Did the alleged victim finally find the strength to speak up? Situations like this are a slippery slope due to many false allegations made in the past with other celebrities. But then we have celebrities like R. Kelly who were convicted. As you probably remember, Chris Noth was recently brought up on similar charges that are said to have happened many years ago, causing his work on HBO's And Just Like That to come to a halt ahead of the outcome. How do you think these celebrities should be handled? It's important to note that the statute of limitations for s*xual assault in California is 6 years. It has now been 9. Will this change things? Stay tuned as the events unfold.
