I Only Have Eyes for You're Wanting Me

Rachel Price doing "I Only Have Eyes For You" leads into Marvin Gaye's "I Want You" and just like that you have the Segue City Special for a jazzy sounding Sunday morning start. We're amazed at where the Mayor pulls up songs for segues as he isn't afraid to mix genres or even decades as he threads his way through the mixes. "I Only Have Eyes For You" actually goes all the way back to the Thirties... who knew?

The Mayor continues to be enigmatic about what he's doing in mixing the segues up the way he is. Plus he keeps grinning like that Cheshire cat so the mysteries are piling up on top of each other. We're heading into conspiracy theories territory now but he says not to worry, it will all work out right. But the checks keep cashing and that's all the matters to us.

Segue City will be a recurring short-form programming element of "The Big Kahuna" - one of GET's developmental Internet Radio formats created by Dain Schult. It will also be expanded as a part of that format and finally evolve into a full, long-form programming element on its own. It’s all a part of GET’s radio division – American Internet & Radio (“AIR”).

The feature will be available for integration into other AIR Classic Rock terrestrial stations in the future as well. It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...

At least that’s the idea… your mileage may vary, check with your dealer; so, you don’t forget order before midnight; operators standing by for your important call; Our talent is on loan from God. We just pray He'll let us finish another segue for tomorrow... if you liked today's segue, our Mayor is known as the Silver Haired Man of Rock n' Roll. At least that’s the idea… your mileage may vary, check with your dealer; so, you don’t forget order before midnight; operators standing by for your important call; offer void where prohibited by law and that normally means it's legal everywhere but in New Mexico... is that gun really loaded or not? This is becoming a conspiracy theory crime scene...

This feature is a three-time winner of the Thomas J. Duke Memorial Music Segue and BBQ Cook-Off Award.
