This is another video that we filmed while at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington VA. This is such an amazing thing to witness, the playing of Taps will bring tears to your eyes. It is such a dignified and solemn ceremony. The changing of the guard by the "Old Guard" has been in place since 1948, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier has been guarded 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with Zero exception. During the winter the guards are changed every hour. Every half hour during the summer from dawn to dusk. There are only 3 soldiers buried at the Tomb of the Unknown. 1 from WW1, 1 from WW11 and 1 from the Korean war. There was a 4th buried from the Vietnam war but with the advent of DNA, he was exhumed and identified. So, the 4th crypt remains empty, the crypt cover was replaced with one that reads "Honoring and Keeping Faith with America's Missing Servicemen, 1958-1975". These soldiers are placed here to represent all soldiers who have died and are unknown.
