When You Wish Upon Starting Over

Today warrants a "Second Section" of segues as we're going with John Williams and a part of the soundtrack to "Close Encounters" into a song from John Lennon's last album, "Starting Over" which is the fitting way to welcome in the new year, and we'll all need a new year and a new start after this year of disaster... Besides, fate steps in and sees you through. It always does. We all living proof of that. So let's raise a cup of kindness and drink to that.

Segue City will be a recurring short-form programming element of "The Big Kahuna" - one of GET's developmental Internet Radio formats created by Dain Schult. It will also be expanded as a part of that format and finally evolve into a full, long-form programming element on its own. It’s all a part of GET’s radio division – American Internet & Radio (“AIR”).

The feature will be available for integration into other AIR Classic Rock terrestrial stations in the future as well. It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
