One of the unique things about gibbons is their voice or singing, like a song. Both female and male gibbons can make sounds, but the timing and type of sound differ. Male gibbons tend to speak before dawn while female gibbons tend to speak after light and sometimes during the day. These types of gibbons produce loud, long song songs that are mostly exhibited by married couples. Usually, couples combine these chants ( repertoire ) in vocal, timely, and complex interactions to produce good duet patterns.
