Over a decade before Star Trek, several years before "The Twilight Zone" and "The Outer Limits," there was "Dimension X," followed by "X Minus One," two science fiction anthologies presented as radio dramas by the National Broadcasting Company, otherwise known as NBC. These audio-only masterpieces of drama, comedy, and intrigue, set against a backdrop of cosmic mystery, inspired the imaginations millions of radio listeners, young and old, throughout the 1950s--featuring adaptations of short stories by some of science fiction's greatest authors, including Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov, Robert A. Heinlein, Theodore Sturgeon, and many more. NBC presented these otherworldly tales in cooperation with major magazines, such as Astounding Science Fiction and Galaxy Science Fiction. In this video, Moonjumper utilizes a complete series review he previously posted on Amazon, as he explores this important chapter of sci-fi history, which inspired the likes of Gene Roddenberry and George Lucas.
