MOONJUMPER'S AMAZON REVIEWS: Why waist a good written review on Amazon, when you can reuse it on YouTube and Rumble? Moonjumper reads two of his own reviews posted on Amazon regarding Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry’s trilogy of made-for-TV movies, “Genesis II,” its sequel “Planet Earth,” and spin-off movie, “Strange New Worlds,” which aired on CBS and ABC from 1973 to 1975. Starring Alex Cord, John Saxon, and host of major stars, Roddenberry and Warner Bros. hoped to launch a new weekly series in the spirit and tone of Star Trek, but against the backdrop of a post-apocalyptic Earth—where hero, Dylan Hunt, must help rebuild civilization. This character and scenario would later be reworked into “Gene Roddenberry’s Andromeda,” starring Kevin Sorbo as Dylan Hunt, captain of the starship Andromeda Ascendant.

The third and final film, “Strange New Worlds” contains two episodic adventures, including a story which would later be reworked into an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation, “Up the Long Ladder,” and a loose remake of the Star Trek TOS episode, “The Omega Glory.”
