Can Web 3.0 fix the internet, or is it an over-hyped Silicon Valley marketing scam based on false promises?

Web 3.0 has been billed as a new version of the web that takes the power from the platforms and puts it back into the hands of the people. So this week on 51/49, James dives into Web3 (NFTs, cryptocurrencies, DAOs, blockchain, etc.) and discusses whether it can be a genuine force for change that ushers in a new internet paradigm that's more equal and fair, or is it bound to be co-opted by corporate power and the wealthy elites?
