Born in Vermont in 1804, John Deere worked as a blacksmith’s apprentice before embarking on his own legendary career, moving to Illinois, and coming up with his life-changing idea – the steel plow. 218 years later, John Deere is one of the most well known brands on the planet.

John Deere green has been worn proudly for generations, has songs devoted to it and put Moline, Indiana on the map. Chrissy Wozniak sits down to hear the story, told by John Deere Archivist Neil Dahlstrom.
