Derek is a young man who takes pride in his work, his family, and his faith in God. At such a young age he has discerned from studying to be a priest, let go of the traditional college route, got engaged, and has started his own successful landscaping business. M.G.C has simply found his story warming and his religious/professional journey interesting in a time where starting a business can seem to be a death wish and religion seems to be both taboo in some American cultures and making a resurgence in others.
