Funny BIRDS & PARROTS Talking and Singing

Every parrot breeder should ask themselves why they repeat what humans say. In the same way that the mechanism that allows parrots to sing has not yet been completely unraveled by science, the reason is also just a hypothesis.

What is known is that, in nature, these birds are extremely communicative. As parrots learn to speak through hearing and repetition, this process begins when they are young. They begin with imitating the sounds made by the parents in order to communicate with the family and with other individuals.

For this reason, it is believed that when in captivity, parrots compensate for this lack of communication with other individuals of the species by imitating our sounds. In this sense, scientists believe that this happens because the “voice” of parrots would have characteristics similar to ours. Not to mention the fact that they are monogamous and often choose us as a pair.
