Morals in Fiction: How Stories Teach Us How to Be

Part of the reason I have devoted my life to helping writers improve in their craft is that fiction holds such power over us. Telling the truth through made-up stories is often the best way to make a moral lesson stick, particularly in young people who don't necessarily think their elders know anything. This month, I will be examining the works of fiction that partially molded my morality and values.
