✔BECK IN THE DAY Inside David and Victoria Beckham’s modest first home before splashing out on huge £2.5m mansion

A YOUTHFUL David Beckham is seen giving fans a tour around the modest home he first shared with wife Victoria in an unearthed clip.

In an interview from 1997, a then 22-year-old David proudly showed off his detached home in Hazlehurst Road, Worsley, Salford, which he reportedly purchased directly from the developer for a mere £150,000.

At the time, Becks was just breaking into the first-team fold at Manchester United and gave Sky Sports presenter Rob McCaffery the opportunity to snoop around his house.

In the clip, the footballer began the tour in his living room which boasted magnolia-painted walls, cream-coloured leather couches and dark drapes.

Notably, David showed off a life-size cardboard cutout of himself "that his girlfriend's [Victoria's] mum had wanted" sitting on his VHS tapes.

He also flaunted a framed photo of him with the 1996/97 PFA Young Player of the Year that his dad gave him while showing off his plethora of trophies that were sitting on his window sill.

Moving into the kitchen, presenter Rob found a bag of Walkers crisps with David's future wife on the front.

The sports star, who only began dating Victoria that same year, said: "It's sometimes embarrassing when you want a big bag of Walkers crisps and you go and get a big bag of Walkers crisps and it's got your girlfriend on the front."

He then showed off his fridge which was filled with Muller Corner yogurts, strawberries, Toffee Crisp bars he was sent and a few bottles of champagne.

The former LA Galaxy ace also gave his fans a glimpse of his 'walk-in wardrobe', which was just several standing racks in the corner of his master bedroom.

At the time, the presenter teased David over his 'massive' shoe collection, which was 15 pairs of trainers, and asked him to pick out his favourite shirts.

The Cribs-style tour happened shortly before the couple sold the four-bedroom property for £190,000 – pocketing a £40,000 profit - and moved into their £2.5million Beckingham Palace in Hertfordshire.

Victoria, 47, previously spoke to the Manchester Evening News in 2008 about their Worsley home and said they had "such fond memories".

She said at the time: "When we were last in Manchester for the Spice Girls gig David and I drove back to that house in Hazelhurst Road to have a look.

"There are such fond memories for us - of the Trafford Centre and all that kind of thing.

"I know David misses Manchester as well and still keeps in touch with everyone."

According to The Daily Star, their first home in Manchester last went up for sale in 2014, with an asking price of between £375,000 and £400,000.

More recently, the couple have called their £31million Holland Park mansion home since 2013.

The pair spent an estimated £8million on renovation work for the six-bedroom Grade II-listed townhouse in 2016.

While their main residence is in London, David and Victoria split their time between their £6million Cotswold bolthole and modern Miami apartment worth £19million.
