He fully admits that he doesn't know what he's right or wrong about--or who is telling the truth. On one hand, Moonjumper is suspicious of the timing in an election year, troubled by people in power poised to use this crisis as an excuse for an unprecedented power grab, and mistrustful of a partisan media that seemingly WANTS to foment a mass panic that will push this nation and the world, not just into a recession, but a second, full blown great depression (while advocating their agenda as our only salvation). On the other hand, Moonjumper is alarmed at just how fast (and how close to home) the disease is spreading...as some of his own family members become infected. But there is one thing Moonjumper does know: As store shelves become bare, food and supplies are scarce, and his own small community is devastated by mass unemployment, what FDR said all those decades ago during the last great depression remains true today: We have nothing to fear but fear itself.
