AMG SLS Black Series v Mustang Shelby GT500: DRAG RACE

It’s time for another Germany vs USA showdown!!

Mat’s lined up in the Mustang Shelby GT 500, and alongside him, we have the oh-so-rare Mercedes-AMG SLS Black Series! The question is, which will come out on top over the quarter-mile?

Well, let’s see how they compare! Starting with the Mustang, it’s packing a 5.2-litre supercharged V8 under the bonnet that can put down 760hp & 850Nm of torque. It drives the rear wheels only, and it weighs in at 1916kg.

As for the SLS, well it’s a whole lot lighter, tipping the scales at just 1,550kg! However, it’s down on power… It may be housing a 6.2-litre naturally-aspirated V8 upfront, but it can ‘only’ put down 631hp & 630Nm. What’s more, just like the Mustang, its rear-wheel-drive only.
