Are Final Fantasy fans elitists (including myself) interms of ridicule and lack of open mindedness

As in, i think our taste makes us want it certain way so ridicule becomes a thing. And i am guilty of it too. But i guess for me it started with Final Fantasy 6 fans making cheap jabs at Final Fantasy 7 being overrated. So i wanted to check older games to see if they were that interesting. But in the end, i do think its this cloudy idea of what is the best that may be form of elitism. Instead of appreciating the work. Even my previous video i think i show this elitist talk rather than seeing how difference is difference... best way i can put it. But i just dont wanna seem like i am ungrateful for the games is all, despite it may sound like i am.

edit: Also, i think its a fact that Final Fantasy games do change by design in each game. So it may be why elitism only kind of backfires to begin with. I guess its just how its meant to be. One example is i could argue Devil May Cry 2013 is a way better game, because Dante doesnt have mop for a hair and looks cooler, that would by default be taking a elitist position. But difference is DMC isnt by design changing, its a constant same theme, so it doesnt feel as weird to take a position on. Whereas Final Fantasy, each game changes all the time interms of design and everything. So it may be why it just backfires. Just how i see it overall

My favorite OST from Area 88 OVA atleast. Its very well made honestly!
