Bio: LtCol Maxwell joined the Marine Corps in 1988 and became an Infantry Officer (0302) he deployed 6 times, 5 to combat in both Iraq and Afghanistan, over the course of his career. On his final deployment to Iraq he was wounded by indirect fire leaving him with a severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). Through his recovery process he realized the need to change the way Wounded, Ill, and Injured service members were taken care of and conceptualized the idea of a single unit dedicated to their care, that would one day become Wounded Warrior Battalion. His concept was also adpoted by the other branches of service. Since his retirement in 2009, LtCol Maxwell and his wife Shannon started a business, Semper Fidelis Farm, that continues to focus on combat veterans recovery through determination and hard work in a peaceful outdoor setting. The premise of this business is to show veterans that they are still capable of more than they think despite having disabilities. Please support this veteran owned business owned and operated by true American heroes!
