Trucker convoy vows to stay in Ottawa until demands met

On this episode of Global National: Thousands of protesters crowded Parliament Hill to protest COVID-19 vaccine mandates, public health measures and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as part of the so-called “freedom convoy” of truckers. Some convoy organizers even say they’ll remain at Parliament Hill until their demands are met. David Akin reports from Ottawa as people air out their grievances.

And winter storms are pounding the East Coast as the Maritimes and several northeastern states get covered in snow. In the U.S., with the possibility of getting up to 60 cm of snow or more, high winds are forcing many people to leave their homes and governors are declaring states of emergency.
