Playboy After Dark - S02E24 - 1970-04-30 - Featuring George Carlin.

Back when it wasn't well known to be a CIA funded Honey Trap, Playboy After Dark was must see TV.

Spanky Wilson (singer) - "Alfie" and "Bring My Love" (correct song title?)
George Carlin (comedian) - does a routine on N.Y. accents and N.Y. Police Academy
Lou Rawls (singer) - "You've Made Me So Very Happy" and "You Got Soul" (correct song title?)
Bossa Rio (Bossa Nova group) - "Spinning Wheel," "With Your Love Now" and "Zazueira"
Sandy Baron (comedian) - does a comedy routine about High School graduation day
Connie Kreski (Playmate of the Year) and Janice Pennington appear in a running comedy bit with Sandy Baron and George Carlin. (As Baron tries to pick up Pennington, Carlin tries his luck with Kreski.)

Playboy After Dark followed much the same style as Hefner's earlier show, Playboy's Penthouse (1959–1960), which had been taped at WBKB-TV in Chicago (now WLS-TV). The show portrayed a "typical" party at Hefner's place, complete with Playboy Playmates and celebrities, who would then chat with Hefner and perform for the party. Guests included Barbi Benton, Joe Cocker, Ike & Tina Turner, Sammy Davis Jr., Jerry Lewis, Peter Lawford, Buddy Rich, Harry Nilsson, Grateful Dead, Moms Mabley, Deep Purple, Fleetwood Mac, Three Dog Night, Steppenwolf, Grand Funk Railroad, James Brown, Iron Butterfly, Linda Ronstadt, Jack Jones and others.
