This “predator with a sweet smile” belongs to the mustelid family and is a relative of the mink, ermine and ferret. Weasel has a fearless character.
Their natural habitat is forests, swamps, steppes, banks of water bodies, and even human dwellings.
The largest individual weighs approximately 100 grams. The body length is on average 16-18 cm. Moreover, males are always 30% larger than females.
The color of the coat changes depending on the time of year. So in summer the weasel flaunts in a light brown color with a white or yellowish belly, and in winter its fur coat becomes completely snow-white.
