Carol of the Bells (AmberSky Classical Guitar)

This is my instrumental classical guitar interpretation of Giuseppe Torrisi’s fingerstyle guitar arrangement of the popular holiday tune “Carol of the Bells.” Carol of the Bells was originally composed in 1916 by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych (1877 - 1921). In 1916 it was known as Ukrainian folk chant “Shchedryk” and was for ushering in New Year’s celebrations. In 1936, American composer Peter Wilhousky (1902 – 1978) rearranged “Shchedryk” and wrote lyrics for it. “Shchedryk” then became known as the popular Christmas tune “Carol of the Bells.”
