"Babymetal / Kiba of Akiba" (BABYMETAL×キバオブアキバ, BABYMETAL to Kiba obu Akiba, "Babymetal and Kiba of Akiba", stylized as "Babymetal × Kiba of Akiba") is a joint single by Japanese heavy metal band Babymetal and otailish death pop band Kiba of Akiba. The single was first released in Japan on March 7, 2012 to promote the album Sakura Gakuin 2011 Nendo: Friends.

Babymetal and Kiba of Akiba first met under the management of the main group Sakura Gakuin, and later, decided on a collaboration. The split single was announced on February 9, 2012 for release on March 7, 2012, and was the fifth overall single released to promote Sakura Gakuin 2011 Nendo: Friends.

The single contains two original songs, one performed by Babymetal and one by Kiba of Akiba, and two bonus tracks. The first bonus track, "Kimi to Anime Ga Mitai – Answer for Animation with You" is a cover of the Kiba of Akiba song "Animation with You", as performed by Babymetal. The second bonus track is a remix of the Babymetal song "Doki Doki ☆ Morning", as performed by Kiba of Akiba. The single artwork depicts a fox who has grown fangs (the former is motif for Babymetal, while the latter is a motif for Kiba of Akiba) holding up a kitsune sign with Akihabara in the background.

On April 6, 2012, Babymetal performed at Tower Records Japan in Shibuya to commemorate the release of the single.
The song "Kimi to Anime Ga Mitai – Answer for Animation With You" (君とアニメが見たい~Answer for Animation With You, "I Want to See Anime with You – Answer for Animation With You") is a cover of the Kiba of Akiba song "Animation With You", released in 2011. The lyrics have been changed as to represent a girl's point of view. Nakamoto stated that the song was the first time she had heard metal death growls, though the growls were ultimately left to the other two members for the cover. Unlike the original song, the chorus contains background vocals from Mizuno and Kikuchi. The latter called the song one of the band's beloved, thanking Kiba of Akiba for the introduction.

Babymetal (Japanese: ベビーメタル, Hepburn: Bebīmetaru) (stylized in all caps) is a Japanese kawaii metal band. The band consists of Suzuka Nakamoto as "Su-metal" and Moa Kikuchi as "Moametal". The band is produced by Kobametal from the Amuse talent agency. Their vocals are backed by heavy metal instrumentation, performed by a group of session musicians known as the "Kami Band" at performances.

The band was formed in 2010, with the original lineup of Su-metal (vocal and dance), Moametal (scream and dance), and Yui Mizuno as "Yuimetal" (scream and dance), with the concept of creating a fusion of the heavy metal and Japanese idol genres. Originally a sub-unit of the Japanese idol group Sakura Gakuin, Babymetal became an independent act in 2013, following Nakamoto's departure from Sakura Gakuin. Babymetal released their eponymous debut album in February 2014. Their second album Metal Resistance was released worldwide in April 2016. Babymetal has also embarked on several tours, with a majority of their tour dates taking place outside of Asia. The group released their third album Metal Galaxy in October 2019.

On October 19, 2018, Babymetal announced that Yui Mizuno had decided to leave the band due to poor health, following her absence from live performances since December 2017. Since her departure, the band has performed with backup dancers at live performances. In 2019, the band introduced three backup dancers called "Avengers" who performed in rotation at each live show to form a trio with Moametal and Su-metal.
