Glass Houses - Throwing Stones

In North Idaho winter we searched for adventure. We found beauty. We discovered the glory of a January cold. We saw diamonds glittering on the lake, on a winter morning, ice as precious as any gold, wealth made in a single night, formed in a hour and gone as fast. These gems last but a short season but will be treasured in long memory.

We looked for rocks, for pretty pebbles and shiny stones, to toss upon the water, to skim across a mirror. We gathered up fallen stars, fragments of lost space, and scattered them afar, giving them vitality and a pertinent place in creation. We play, while we may, and our morning was thus.
